India Lt released a book titled The Unofficial Guide To
Ethical Hacking. The author, Ankit Fadia, who at the tender
age of 14 wrote this book, is the youngest author for Macmillan
India limited in their 110 years of history. Always been
a big fan of the X-Files and little did this 11th
standard student knew that he would get a call from the
FBI themselves! It all begin with his website, hacking Truths
(http://hackingtruths.box.sk) for a small
circle of friends to whom Ankit would send out periodic
manuals, but very soon it evolved into a worldwide community
of thousands of like-mined people who subscribed to receive
information that really mattered. “The basic motive behind
Hacking Truths is to spread the message of ethical hacking,
which would revolutionise the global security scene’, he
says. He believes ethical hacking is like vaccination- you
fight evil for positive gains.
This
conviction has now evolved into Macmillan India’s latest
publication, the book has already found place in the review
pages of the prestigious New York Times. “Using reader-friendly
format, my book covers topics that have not been covered
in any Indian book so far, existing books on Networking
are not comprehensive enough. This book covers everything
from a hacker’s or a geek’s point of view. A lot of source
codes too have been added for easy understanding. It covers
all aspects of Windows, Networking, Viruses, Hacking, and
Programming, etc” says Ankit who is a regular writer with
PC Quest.
Ankit’s
website: “Hacking Truths: What They Don’t Tech in Manuals”,
has a member database of about 20000 and gets around 1 lakh
unique hits daily. AntiOnline, a leading US Security Consultant
firm, the owner of which works with the FBI, also ranked
it 2nd Worldwide. This book has already achieved
an advanced pre-publication order of around 5000 copies
from around the world and also a leading Portuguese Publication
Company (Centro Atlantico) are bringing out a translated

This
book runs into 624 pages covers the widely debated subject
of Computer Security. Besides, being the youngest author
of a technical book. Ankit Fadia is also the first Indian

a number of security consultant firms had approached him
for a job, but due to his young age, they back out saying
that he will have to wait for at least 2-3 years, before
he could actually start working for them. The CBI has setup
a website which aims at educating the Indian Police (http://itsecurity.gov.in)
and the software companies on security issues and 75 per
cent of the tutorials hosted on their website have been
written by Ankit.
Ankit
has also planned 2 sequels to this book, which will deal
with advanced hacking. He also plans to write a Sidney Sheldon
type thriller, fiction book. Besides, this book he has also
co-authored a book titled Tips and Tricks on Linux which
is being published in Portugal by Centro Atlantico. The
